Course Creator Requirements

The Course Creator loader enables you to bulk-create new LearnCenter Courses or bulk-update existing Courses. You can also create Courses based on template Courses you have already created. This loader expects the following items to be preexisting to create LearnCenter (WYSIWYG) Courses:

Name

Description

Display Electronic Signature Start of Course

  • Example: Default - Will use the Default Electronic Signature

This field set the Electronic Signature for the beginning of the course only.

Display Electronic Signature End of Course

This field set the Electronic Signature for the end of the course only

Display to Public

Display Feedback Form

Using the update existing records, the course can be moved between the Warehouse and Showroom. Course must be in the Showroom (inserted into the LearnCenter) to report on progress for the course

Populate custom field default values

If value is no then the loader will look to the Course Custom Fields column of the data file for Custom Field values

Course Custom Fields

  • The Application can load data into as many custom fields as exist in the LearnCenter for LearnCenter Courses
  • For format if the data in the column: <custom field name>=<custom field data>
  • Each custom field mapping is separated by a semicolon ;
  • The custom field must exist in the LearnCenter
  • The custom Fields for the Courses must be unique.
  • If multiple custom fields (For the Course) with the exact same name exist, the application cannot determine which field to map the data to and will skip the field.
  • Example: Course Custom Field 01=Custom Data Set 01
  • Example: Course Custom Field 01=Custom Data Set 01;Course Custom Field 02=Custom Data Set 02;Course Custom Field 03=Custom Data Set 03
Custom Field must exist and have unique names If more than one Course custom field is found with the same name this will be an error condition and outputted to the results file.

Categories

27 AA No Set the Course Categories
Accepted Values
  • The Application can load data into as many Categories root and sub-categories as exist in the LearnCenter for ILT Sessions
  • For format if the data in the column: < category name>;< category name>
  • Each Categories mapping is separated by a semicolon ;
  • The Categories must exist in the LearnCenter
  • The Categories names for the Course must be unique.
  • If multiple Categories (For the Course) with the exact same name exist, the application cannot determine which field to map the data to and will skip the field.
  • Example: Root Categories 01
  • Example: Root Categories 01;Root Categories 02;Root Categories 03
  • Example: Root Categories 01;Root Categories 02; Sub Categories 03;Sub Categories 04
Categories must exist and have unique names If more than one Category is found with the same name this will be an error condition and outputted to the results file.

Template Course

28 AB No Creates the new course from an existing template LearnCenter Course
Accepted Values

Any Value up to 1000 characters in length

Example: Template Placeholder Course

The Loader will create the new course from an existing LearnCenter course including the copying the HTML from the course Chapters and pages
