Supervisor Roles

Similar to User Roles , Supervisor Roles enable Administrators to easily manage permissions for multiple Supervisors in one place. Adding Supervisors to Supervisor Roles that have pre-defined permissions reduces the administrative overhead of managing permissions individually for each Supervisor. The Supervisor Roles feature includes the following:

The minimum User Permissions required to manage Supervisor Roles:

  • View Management Links (sub permission of Manage Options)
  • Manage Supervisor Roles (parent and sub-User Permissions)

To also manage Supervisors:

  • Manage Supervisor Accounts (parent and sub-User Permissions)
  • View User List (sub permission of Manage Users [Basic])

You will not have access to the Users option unless you have been granted these two User Permissions: View User List and View Admin Tools. See User Permissions and User Account User Permissions for instructions on granting and denying User Permissions.

In addition, a change was made to the Supervisor Permissions page. All of these items are detailed in the following sections.

On the ControlPanel:

  1. Click  on the Users menu to expand it.
  2. Click Supervisor Roles.

On this page you can add new Supervisor Roles, view and add Supervisors to a Supervisor Role ( ), edit the details of a Supervisor Role (), and view and change the Supervisor Permissions associated with a Supervisor Role ( ). You can also change the status of a Supervisor Role.
