LearnCenter enables you to distribute several formats of Web-based training (WBT) created in a variety of third party authoring tools. Content includes WBT, AICC Courses, SCORM Classes and Courses. There are several steps involved in implementing WBT in your LearnCenter, as well as setup considerations and specific knowledge. It is strongly recommended that you review Getting Started with WBT for LearnCenter to gain a deeper understanding of how WBT works with LearnCenter.

Some of the steps involve the Content Control Panel menu. Use this menu to prepare, organize, and import the learning content you will be delivering to Users. LearnCenter enables you to distribute several formats of Web-based training (WBT) created in a variety of third party authoring tools.

You can also add Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), and web-based Assessments/Surveys. See the appropriate help topics for more information.

Use the Content Control Panel menu to:

Add, edit, copy, and manage existing Courses
Create new Courses using the WYSIWYG Course Editor
Create and edit synchronous Courses
Import AICC Courses
Import SCORM Classes
Manipulate SCORM 2004 Classes
Track the Learning Management System (LMS)
Create web-based Courses using unstructured training assets, such as Microsoft Word® documents, Microsoft PowerPoint® files, PDFs, Microsoft Excel® spreadsheets, Rich Text Format documents, and text files. For example, you may be using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policy documents for training purposes. These documents can be uploaded to the Content Manager and quickly converted to the Media Course type. When Users access these Courses, they open using a Document Course Viewer which is only available with the LearnCenter Course Player.

The following User Permissions are required for this feature:

View Admin Tools
Manage Online Courses (parent and sub User Permissions)
Modify Online Courses (parent and sub User Permissions)
Manage Synchronous (Online) Courses (parent and sub User Permissions)
LearnCenter Co-Owner (parent and sub User Permissions)
Manage Courses (parent and sub User Permissions)
Edit Online Courses (parent and sub User Permissions)
Manage Media Content (parent and sub User Permissions). These permissions are for use with the creation of web-based training created using unstructured training documents.
